Recently, an array of bamboo products from local foreign trade companies were containerized at the Bamboo Household Products Industrial Park in Yanglousi Town, Linxiang City. These goods will be shipped from Shanghai Port to Japan, Southeast Asia, and other regions, marking Lixiang's first export of bamboo products this year.
Linxiang boasts a vast bamboo forest area of 565,000 mu (approximately 37,667 hectares), earning it the reputation as the "Hometown of Bamboo Wares." In 2024, the city's bamboo industry achieved a total output value of 4.58 billion CNY, creating 60,000 jobs and processing an annual average of 600,000 tonnes of bamboo. The city has fostered an industrial cluster comprising over 600 bamboo processing enterprises, offering more than 480 kinds of products across six major categories including bamboo furniture and carbonized bamboo substrates, and holding over 180 patents. Linxiang dominates 85% of the national market share for bamboo beds, bamboo rocking chairs, and bamboo heating tables, and has won gold awards at exhibitions such as the Shanghai International Bamboo Industry Exhibition and the Yibin International Bamboo Industry Expo.
Linxiang's bamboo products have gained international recognition for their eco-friendliness, durability, and aesthetic appeal. Products such as bamboo beds, tables, and chairs are exported to Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, and other regions. The daily bamboo consumption for exported products reaches 200 tonnes.
