According to data from the Changsha Customs Authority, Hunan exported 750 million CNY of fireworks and firecrackers in the first two months of this year, marking a 31.5% year-on-year increase and accounting for 55.7% of China's total fireworks exports during the period.

"Our 'Da Di' combined fireworks are rather beautiful and are specially favored by German consumers, " said the manager of a producer of exported fireworks in Liuyang. This company's fireworks have been sold to the United States, the EU, Russia, and other countries and regions.

Changsha City exported 660 million CNY worth of fireworks, up 28.2% and taking up 88.1% of Hunan's total fireworks exports. Zhuzhou City contributed 89.762 million CNY, surging 61.5%.

The United States remained Hunan's largest export market, while Hunan's trade with ASEAN countries and the EU saw notable growth. From January to February, Hunan exported 410 million CNY worth of fireworks to the United States, up 39.6% and constituting 54% of the province's total. Exports to ASEAN countries reached 100 million CNY, up 19.7%, and those to the EU hit 97.006 million CNY, grew 21.7%.

"The export growth is largely attributed to the unlocking of domestic production capacity for international markets," explained a Changsha Customs official. Fireworks factories that previously focused on domestic sales are now pivoting to export production. For instance, four new export-oriented fireworks manufacturers in Liuyang have completed customs registration this year. Additionally, sustained demand from key markets like the United States and Europe continues to boost fireworks exports.
