At the meeting, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on deepening Hunan-Thailand tourism cooperation, enhancing travel convenience and promoting mutual tourist exchanges. Thai travel blogger and influencer "Fai" shared insights into Hunan's "five cultural and tourism calling cards" represented by Zhangjiajie, Shaoshan, Changsha, Hengshan Mountain, and the Chengtoushan Ancient Cultural Site. This presentation offered a comprehensive display of Hunan's abundant natural landscapes, historical and cultural heritage, and tourism resources. Cooperation agreements were signed between the Hunan Tourism Association and the Thai Travel Agents Association, as well as between the Hunan Sanhe International Travel Service and Thailand's Quality Express Co., Ltd.

In 2024, Hunan Province received 3.224 million inbound tourists, marking a year-on-year growth of 187.7%. A total of 186,622 Thai tourists visited the province in 2024, representing an increase of 267.6% year on year.

2025 is designated as the year for Hunan's inbound tourism development, and the province has introduced 12 measures to promote the development of its inbound tourism. Hunan will continue exploring high-quality inbound tourism routes. Targeted marketing campaigns will be intensified in key tourist markets such as Southeast Asia, Central Asia, Japan, South Korea, and the European and American regions, showcasing the unique charm of Hunan to the world.
