The Changsha County People's Hospital (Hunan Provincial People's Hospital Xingsha Branch)is located by the Songya Lake in Changsha County, with a total construction area of 227,400 square meters. It is a large-scale tertiary public general hospital built by the Changsha County People's Government in cooperation with the Hunan Provincial People's Hospital. 

The hospital integrates the functions of medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention, and health care. It is designed to have 1,200 beds, with 500 beds to be offered in the first phase.

In accordance with an agreement to cooperate in running the hospital, the hospital will establish high-quality and professional medical teams through a combination of internal training and external introduction. The hospital has 40 clinical specialties and 14 inpatient wards. The first phase of the hospital will focus on the establishment of nine departments: emergency medicine; cardiovascular and metabolic diseases; neurology; children's medical care; oncology; orthopedics and sports medicine; rehabilitation medicine; health management center; and medical resource sharing center for clinical examination, ECG, imaging and pathology. Additionally, five major centers will be built. They are: chest pain center, stroke center, trauma center, treatment center for critically ill pregnant and postpartum women, and treatment center for children and infants in critical condition.
