The photo, taken on March 20, shows a hustle-and-bustle scene during Ganfenshe Festival at Caoshi Town, Hengdong County. The annual Ganfenshe Festival was held in the town during the Spring Equinox, or Chunfen in Chinese, the fourth solar term in the Chinese lunar calendar. Residents from surrounding counties and villages came to the town to trade spring ploughing supplies such as farm tools, cattle, seedlings, Chinese medical herbs, bamboo and wooden utensils, along with daily necessities. Ganfenshe, also known as Chunfen Fair by locals, can be traced back to the Ming and Qing dynasties. (Photo/Guo Liliang, Hunan Daily)
