Changsha Helong Sports Center

Changsha Helong Sports Center is the nation's first large-scale comprehensive sports facility named after a state leader—Marshal He Long. Originally built in 1951, it was initially called the "Changsha Labor People's Stadium." After two rounds of renovations and expansions and three name changes, the current center now covers an area of 100 mu (approximately 6.67 hectares), with a main stadium that spans 130,900 square meters. It features 98 VIP boxes and can accommodate 42,746 spectators.

The sports center is committed to creating a venue that meets the people's expectations. The center has been making an effort to develop itself into a premier platform for high-level competitions, public fitness exercises, and large-scale cultural performances in Changsha. It has successfully hosted dozens of major events, including the opening ceremony of the 5th City Games and the 2018 FIFA World Cup Asian Qualifiers match between China and South Korea. In April 2023, it was included in the first batch of national demonstration public sports venues that are open to the public.
