Shawan Park

Shawan Park is located in the Sports New Town area of Yuhua District, Changsha City. It is bordered by Laodong East Road to the north, Qutang Road to the south, and connects to the High-Speed Railway New Town area to the east. The park is built on a narrow, elongated slope, covering a total area of approximately 290,000 square meters. The park features an additional 130,000 square meters of green spaces, with the green coverage rate reaching 82%. It is another significant park in Changsha after the Hunan Martyrs Park, Yuelu Mountain Scenic Area, Nanjiao Park, and Xihu Cultural Park. It officially opened to the public on February 5, 2016.

The park stretches from northeast to southwest, with a main trail measuring 23 kilometers long and secondary trails totaling 55 kilometers (including a 15-kilometer wooden walkway). There are two main entrances—southwest and north—as well as two secondary entrances facing east and west. The park is divided into three zones: the Forest Walking Area, the Dynamic Sports Area, and the Floral Leisure Area. Twelve distinctive attractions include Chuyun Pavilion, Luanhua Wood, Yan'ai Pavilion, Yingxiu Pond, Anxiang Tower, Luoying Pavilion, Shuying Platform, Tongqu Slope, Songfeng Pavilion, and Yangguang Lawn as well as an ecological soccer field and an air dome badminton court.
