Luoxi Forest Park in Dongkou County

Luoxi Forest Park is the only uncontaminated land in the world spotted by satellite of UNESCO in 1980s. It is reputed as the world’s most fantastic oasis and an attractive scenic spot in southwestern Hunan.  

 
Located at the Luoxi Yao Ethnic Township of Dongkou County, the park covers a total area of 29,785 hectares and is composed of four major scenic areas, including 108 scenic spots.

Owing to its diversified natural landscapes, the park is known as a gene bank of flora and fauna, with 1,685 species of wild plants and 159 species of wild animals. The rolling hills and 20-plus 1,000-foot peaks of the mountain provide ample opportunity to experience serenity.

The park has convenient transportation and is well-equipped with tourism facilities. It is a provincially multi-functional forest park based on rich natural resources, where the visitors can have a panoramic view of the park, escape summer heat, trace the historic sites and experience folk customs.
